A Spectacular Success for the New Providence Lions Club

25th Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser

The New Providence Lions Club 2022 Golf Fundraising event on Monday, June 6th was an outstanding success with 103 Golfers playing on a perfect spring morning at Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains NJ. Once again this year, Lantern Hill – Erickson Living Communities in New Providence was the Tournament Sponsor along with 17 individual resident sponsors and 10 players.

The Lions are proud to have Shackamaxon Country Club host this year’s event on their  private 18-Hole Championship Course was designed by Albert W. Tillinghast who is world renowned for designing Baltusrol, Bethpage Black, Winged Foot, and Quaker Ridge.

The Lions once again paid tribute to Judge Frank A. Pizzi who established the Lions efforts supporting so many New Providence organizations thru your donations and contributions to this Annual Fundraiser. This year’s Foursome Champions were Dominick Collandriello, Bill Nave, James Duffy and Brian Duffy who received a Canoe Brook Foursome gift certificate for their Best Bell score of 61. Other winners were Andy Bush for the Closest-to-the-Pin and Al St.Louis for the Longest Drive.

I’d like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Lions Club golf outing, players and sponsors we appreciate your continued support.  This year’s golf committee hit it out of the park.  Thank you all! Commented Gary Kapner, President
