More Volunteers Doing More Community Work in More Places than Any Service Club Organization

LIONS

 "Liberty Intelligence Our
Nation's Safety"

When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve. In 207 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are doing community volunteer work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders.

We want everyone to see a better tomorrow. That's why we support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling. Provide eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight. And raise donations through campaigns like SightFirst and Campaign SightFirst II.
We believe everyone deserves a healthy life. From providing health programs that focus on hearing loss to supporting efforts to control and prevent diabetes, Lions volunteers are working to improve the health of children and adults around the world We empower the next generation. Whether it's providing youth volunteer opportunities and leadership experiences in a Leo club or sharing a message of peace through our Peace Poster contest, our youth programs invest in the future by reaching out to young people.

BBA of New Providence - Comeback Campaign

The Borough Business Association of New Providence (BBA of NP) is a new non-profit established for the purpose of supporting New Providence businesses. Specifically, during this difficult time, the focus is on businesses that have been most affected during the COVID -19 pandemic. Please consider donating to the BBA of NP’s COMEBACK CAMPAIGN! For more information please visit our website.

The BBA of NP started the COMEBACK CAMPAGIN on Saturday, 7/25/2020 at the Adams Fine Clothing Shopping Center where several businesses showcased their stores, studios and salons and everyone had the opportunity to win one of thirteen different gift baskets full of fabulous items donated by local New Providence businesses.

We are now asking for monetary donations to support local businesses that have been forced to close or have otherwise been negatively affected. As you have seen, COVID-19 has been devastating for many of New Providence’s small businesses. These independently owned businesses help give New Providence the vitality and sense of community that we all cherish.

Let’s come together to help local businesses survive and COMEBACK strong during this economic disaster. Please donate through our website or make a tax-deductible contribution via check or through the DONATE button setup by the New Providence Lions Club on our behalf.  The NP Lions are a 501(c)(3) qualified organization.

The funds received will provide emergency assistance grants to the borough’s small businesses facing COVID - 19 related hardships. We will be announcing a steering committee who will review all applications and make equitable distribution decisions. Please show your support for our small business community!
