The World's Largest Service Club Organization

Our 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members make us the world's largest service club organization. We're also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet.

Since 1917, local Lions clubs have offered people just like you the opportunity to give something back to their community. Today, with over 1.4 million men and women in more than 180 countries, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever increasing needs of our society. As a member of the New Providence Lions Club, you become aware of the needs of our community and have the advantage to effectively make a difference. Being a Lion empowers you to help others in a way that no one person could alone. Now more than ever, you can make a difference by participating in the New Providence Lions Club. Please join! The New Providence Lions Club donates 100% of every dollar we collect!

NP Lions Club had two significant projects for the betterment of our community completed this fall. First, we rebuilt the back deck for William (Billy) Totten, a long standing member of the club and the President of the Union County Blind Association.  Second, we sponsoring a pancake breakfast fundraising event to benefit Lucas Reilly. A young boy in New Providence that requires a significant amount of medical attention. Our Holiday party had record attendance. The annual 50-50 was a big success and we appreciate everyone's support.

Looking into 2014, we start off with being honored by the Borough of New Providence, in Grateful Appreciation and Recognition of your generous support of borough events and activities. The Suburban Chamber of Commerce named the New Providence Lions Club as the volunteer organization of the year.
